Since the birth of the brand in 1933, Lacoste men’s clothing has been at the top of the game when it comes to luxury sports fashion.
The brand first emerged when French tennis star Rene Lacoste was promised a crocodile leather suitcase from his captain in a bet they made.
Rene was then nicknamed ‘the crocodile’ and began sewing a crocodile to his white jackets as he rocked up to the court.
In 1933, Rene changed the game as he graced the courts in a flexible, lightweight polo shirt instead of the traditional shirts worn by other tennis players.
After revolutionising the tennis scene, he later founded Lacoste with André Gillier. It became the first brand to feature a logo on its clothing. And that’s where it all started.
Fast-forward over 90 years, and men’s Lacoste clothing has gained huge popularity in the luxury sports fashion scene.
Using high-quality materials like petit pique cotton that featured on the OG polo shirt, Lacoste creates sleek designs for everyday wear.
What started as just a polo shirt for the court has now transformed into other versatile silhouettes in men’s wardrobes.
Whether you’re looking for t-shirts, polos, hoodies, jackets or even track pants, Lacoste has got everything you need when it comes to clothing.
