JD Portaloop Competition Terms and Conditions

By taking part in this competition you accept and agree to these terms and conditions. If you do not agree with any of these terms and conditions then you should not take part in the competition. It is your responsibility to ensure that you review the terms and conditions before entering the competition. We, JD Sports Fashion plc (“JD Sports”), recommend that you print and store or save a copy of these terms and conditions for future reference during the competition. JD Sports is the promoter of this competition which is run in conjunction with ROCKSTAR PRESENTS LEEDS & READING FESTIVAL.

1. What can you win?

Have the chance to win one of the following:

(together, the “Prize”). The Prize will be won on a first come first serve basis.

To be in with a chance to win a Prize you must attend the JD Portaloop Activation at either:

a) Leeds Festival, Bramham Park, Leeds LS23 6ND; or

b) Reading Festival, Richfield Avenue, Reading RG1 8EQ;

between the hours of 12:00 and 20:00 (UK time) on 23rd, 24th and 25th August 2024, (the “Participating Event(s)” ).

The Prize is subject to availability (including availability of sizes, styles and colours). The Prize is subject to winner confirmation (i.e. JD Sports has been able to contact winners and has been able to confirm eligibility). JD Sports has the right to change, alter or withdraw the competition or Prize at any time due to any change in any applicable law or any events outside the control of JD Sports. JD Sports shall not be responsible for any delay, cancellation or rescheduling of the Prize. If any part of the Prize is not claimed (for whatever reason), JD Sports is under no obligation to supply an alternative prize.

2. What is excluded from the Prize?

It is the winners’ responsibility to organise and pay for anything excluded from the Prize, including travel to and from the Participating Event.

3. Who can enter?

Entrants must:

be aged16 years or over;

be a resident of England, Scotland or Wales; and

have a movement tracking application on their device to evidence their Movement Score; or

nominate a Companion Entrant who has a movement tracking application on their device to evidence a Movement Score.

JD Sports reserves the right to ask the winners and their companion (if applicable)) to provide proof of age. Employees (and their immediate family) of the JD Sports group (http://www.jdplc.com/our-group/sports-fashion.aspx), or anyone else professionally connected with this competition are not eligible to enter the competition. JD Sports reserves the right (at its sole discretion) to decide if the eligibility criteria are met. If the eligibility criteria are not met, the entry will be invalid.

4. How to enter

Entrants can enter the competition by:

1. attending a Participating Event; and

2. evidencing one of the below Movement Scores to staff at the at the Participating Event to show that the required threshold has been met.

For further clarity on this entry requirement, the total number of steps, pushes or equivalent movement completed by an entrant is converted into an equivalent score (“Movement Score”). For example, completing 7000 steps or pushes, will mean that an entrant has achieved a 7000 Movement Score. Each Movement Score, once evidenced on a movement tracking application, can be used to retrieve the applicable Prize (subject to availability).

In the event that an entrant suffers with a disability which renders them unable to complete the above "how to enter” steps, such entrants may nominate a companion entrant (“Companion Entrant”) to complete the Movement Score on behalf of both entrants. If eligible, both entrants will be able to redeem the relevant Prize based on the Companion Entrant’s Movement Score. The Prize will be subject to availability and subject to the JD Portaloop Competition Terms and Conditions.

Internet service providers’ fees may apply when accessing the internet. No purchase is necessary to enter the competition. Participation is limited to one entry per person at the Participating Events only. If more than one such entry is received, only the first entry will be accepted. No responsibility is taken for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason.

5. Closing Times

The competition will close at 20:00 (UK Time) on each day of the Participating Event or when all Prizes are redeemed, whichever is earlier. Please check the dates and times of the relevant Participating Event. Any entries received after or outside the date or times of the Participating Event or once all prizes have been redeemed will not be valid.

6. How are winners selected?

All entrants who have made a valid entry following the “how to enter” steps above will be notified immediately by on-site staff if they have won a Prize. The decision of JD Sports is final and binding on all entrants. No correspondence will be entered into regarding the selection of the winners (other than with the winners themselves). The winners will be hat they h In the event that the winner does not communicate their acceptance of the Prize within 20 (twenty) minutes, JD Sports reserves the right to pick another winner (in accordance with the procedure set out in this section) and the original winner will waive their rights to the Prize.

7. Winners’ Responsibilities

It is the winners’ responsibility to: (i) organise and pay costs for anything excluded from the Prize, including travel to and from a Participating Event and refreshments; (ii) complete all stages of the "how to enter” section above and present evidence of such completion to a member of staff at a Participating Event ; (iii) provide valid proof of age, which is required to enter the competition; (iv) adhere to local laws in the UK; (v) comply with any rules, instructions, requirements, terms and conditions or regulations of the event organiser. JD Sports will not be liable to the winners or any other persons where they fail to comply with such responsibilities and any such failure may result in forfeiture of the Prize.

9. Publicity

By taking part in the competition, entrants may be invited to participate in publicity at JD Sports’ request if they are a winner of the competition. Entrants agree that JD Sports (or any third party nominated by JD Sports) may in its sole discretion use their comments relating to the Prize and their experience for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes in any media worldwide without notice and without any fee being paid (including for the avoidance of doubt when responding to any third party). Any use of images or other personal information that could identify entrants will be subject to the entrants’ consent. JD Sports reserves the right to withdraw the Prize (or any part of it) if a winner breaches any of the terms in these terms and conditions or if they are found to have acted in a dishonest or fraudulent manner. 10. Which law applies to this competition?

This competition is governed by the law of England and Wales and the participants of the competition submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in England and Wales.
