Masters Football celebrates its 10th year of competition this summer. The world's most popular legends football tournament comes to an arena near you as legends go head-to-head in pursuit of the most coveted prize in indoor sport. Featuring 40 teams and 360 players, in 8 different cities across the UK, the Masters Cup 2009 represents the pinnacle of indoor football excellence. The list of legends to have played Masters Football is exhaustive, with new names coming through each series. Last year alone, Masters welcomed several fan favourites, including Nayim,, Ray Parlour, Dean Saunders, Lorenzo Amoruso, Tore Andre Flo and Shaka Hislop. In 2008, over 60,000 fans supported their teams through the rigours of qualification to see Wolves Masters complete a triumphant year with victory over Manchester City on home turf at the NEC, joining a select group of teams to lift the famous Cup.
In 2009, the action promises to be even better. Players looking to make their Masters debuts this summer include Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Paul Gascoigne, Jason McAteer and Don Hutchison to name a few!
